He stated, "We believe that the UN Security Council is obligated to impose stringent sanctions on the Israeli regime in accordance with Chapter 7 of the UN Charter."

Takht-Ravanchi further noted that the backing of the United States and certain European nations for the Israeli regime hinders the UN Security Council from executing its duties related to international peace and security.

He remarked, "We have shown restraint for a period, but this restraint has been misused by the Israeli regime, leading them to believe they can act without consequences mistakenly."

The senior Iranian diplomat also asserted that Iran's retaliatory actions against Israeli military targets were conducted in line with Article 51 of the UN Charter.

"We have announced that our operation has concluded for now, and should they choose to initiate further hostilities, they will face severe repercussions," he concluded.
