TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Iranian mission stated on Saturday in response to inquiries following Prime Minister Netanyahu's assertion that the earlier attack was executed by “the agents of Iran.”

Iran has firmly refuted the claims made by Netanyahu

The mission clarified, “We have already addressed the Israeli regime, and the action in question was conducted by Hezbollah in Lebanon.” This statement referred to Iran's True Promise II operation targeting Israeli military and security installations on October 1, which was a retaliation for the assassination of regional resistance leaders and a senior Iranian military commander by the Israeli regime.

Netanyahu claimed that “the agents of Iran” attempted to assassinate him and his wife through a drone strike on their residence in Caesarea.

Reports from Israeli media indicated that the drone, launched from Lebanon, traveled 70 kilometers and struck Netanyahu's home directly, with smoke from the incident visible from afar.

In response to the allegations made by the Israeli Prime Minister, Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei remarked that the Zionist regime is built on a foundation of falsehoods and misrepresentation of facts.

“The Zionist regime has been established on lies and the distortion of reality. The dissemination of falsehoods is a consistent and enduring practice of this regime and its criminal leaders,” the spokesman stated to IRNA.

On Friday, the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement declared the initiation of a new and “escalatory” phase in its operations against Israel, in retaliation for the regime’s airstrikes and ground assaults on Lebanon.
