TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al Jazeera, the Israeli Army Radio reported: The Egyptian government has informed the White House that it does not intend to participate in the proposed plan by Donald Trump, the former U.S. president.
Based on this report, Cairo has officially announced its position to Washington, emphasizing that it will not be involved in this plan. Further details about the proposal and the reasons for Egypt's rejection have not yet been disclosed.
In this regard, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: Badr Abdelatty, the Egyptian Foreign Minister, met with the U.S. National Security Advisor, the U.S. Special Envoy for the Middle East, and the Coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa at the National Security Council to discuss regional developments.
According to the Egyptian Ministry's report, Abdelatty, during his meeting with U.S. officials, reviewed efforts to implement a ceasefire agreement in 3 stages, the delivery of humanitarian aid, and the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stated: The head of Egypt's diplomatic apparatus also emphasized the necessity of creating a political horizon for a final resolution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in accordance with international resolutions, ensuring the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
