TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Ma'an, Eyal Zamir, Chief of Staff of the Israeli army, made controversial remarks about the performance of this regime, stating: The army occupying Quds is facing a severe shortage of manpower.
He added: It will be very difficult for the army to achieve a large part of the goals announced by the cabinet. Hamas still controls the military and civilian sectors of the Gaza Strip after a year and a half since the start of the war.
Zamir added that the Israeli cabinet insists that no alternative should be proposed for the Hamas movement in Gaza. The goals of the war have not been achieved in the Gaza Strip either. He said: The complete occupation of Gaza will take several years and require the presence of tens of thousands of troops.
The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper also wrote: Hamas continues its strategic policies, including protecting its military power, despite repeated attacks.
