TEHRAN (Defapress) - While the attacks and aggressions of the Zionist regime against the Gaza Strip continue, received news and reports indicate the use of prohibited weapons by the army of the Zionist regime against the people of Gaza. The primary consequence of this is an increase in the birth rate of disabled infants in this enclave, followed by heightened suffering among the people of Gaza.

Consequence of Using Prohibited Weapons in Gaza War

Reports in this regard reveal the bitter and painful reality that the occupying and child-killing Zionist army is widely violating human and international laws by using prohibited weapons in its attacks on the Gaza Strip. Contrary to legislated laws, this demonstrates the Zionist regime's repeated and extensive use of unconventional and prohibited weapons during the Gaza war.

Accordingly, the latest reports published by Palestinian and international institutions indicate a significant and alarming rise in the birth of disabled infants in the Gaza Strip. Among these reports is news from medical sources in Gaza about the birth of a baby without a brain. More concerning, however, is the increasing number of babies born with various disabilities.

A report prepared and published by medical and health organizations regarding the Gaza war confirms a direct link between the rise in disabled births in Gaza and the Zionist regime's army using unconventional and prohibited weapons. These reports also show that Palestinian doctors, as well as those working under international organizations, have explicitly stated that the release of toxic and chemical gases is the primary cause of such abnormalities in newborns.

Another critical issue is the Zionist regime's insistence on targeting women and children, clearly demonstrating that the majority of those affected by the use of banned weapons and toxic gases are women, particularly pregnant mothers. This indicates the intent of Tel Aviv's leaders and officials to commit genocide and inflict severe, irreversible damage on Gaza's population structure.

Moreover, reports indicate that the use of unconventional weapons, such as white phosphorus, in the Zionist regime's attacks on Gaza has led to an increase in births of severely disabled infants. For example, at Al-Awda Hospital in northern Gaza, a baby was born without a brain, which medical sources attributed to the use of such weapons.

It should also be noted that white phosphorus, by causing severe burns and environmental contamination, can damage DNA and lead to genetic defects in future generations. Due to its high toxicity, even in small amounts, it can have long-term effects on reproductive health.

Another important issue is that chemical and phosphorus weapons contaminate soil, water, and air, affecting the food chain. This contamination can be transmitted to pregnant women, increasing the risk of congenital disabilities. In Gaza, due to the prolonged blockade and lack of medical facilities, the effects of these weapons are exacerbated, as access to healthcare and screening is limited.

Currently, medical sources in Gaza report that the number of babies born with various disabilities is increasing. These disabilities include physical and neurological defects, as well as rare conditions such as the absence of a brain (anencephaly). Although precise statistics from Gaza are unavailable, comparisons with historical cases like Iraq and Vietnam suggest that these effects could persist for decades.

In conclusion, the use of prohibited weapons in the Gaza war, particularly chemical and phosphorus weapons, has had devastating effects on human health and the environment, with reports of an increased rate of disabled births in the region. Based on available sources, these weapons include substances such as white phosphorus and possibly depleted uranium, which can cause genetic damage and congenital disabilities.
