Full-Scale Confrontation with the Occupiers: From the Al-Aqsa Storm Operation to the 12-Day War

TEHRAN (Defapress) - The mind-boggling Al-Aqsa Storm Operation on October 7, 2023, marks a turning point in the confrontation against the crimes of the Zionist regime throughout the period of its occupation of the holy land of Palestine. One of the most significant achievements of this operation, which is unparalleled in terms of security and military surprise, is confronting the Zionist regime with an existential crisis.

After this coordinated operation by the military wing of Hamas, the Zionist occupiers seriously see themselves in a stage of being or non-being, of existence or annihilation. Before the Al-Aqsa Storm Operation, the leaders of the occupying Zionist regime had prepared sinister and ambitious plans to consolidate their international position, all of which turned into a horrifying nightmare with the execution of the Al-Aqsa Storm Operation. Key elements of the Zionist criminals' ambitions included: attracting over two million Jews from around the world and achieving population superiority over Palestinians; transforming the fake state of Israel into a regional hub in the India-Europe corridor; normalizing relations with Arab and Islamic countries; introducing the Zionist regime as the most democratic country in the region and the world; and ultimately, the fading of the Palestine issue from world public opinion.

With the execution of Al-Aqsa Storm Operation, not only were the dreams and aspirations of the criminal gang of the Zionist regime left unfulfilled, but they, by committing crimes unparalleled in human history, were accused and condemned in world public opinion as an illegitimate, child-killing regime committing genocide. The criminal Zionist gang, incapable of facing the Palestinian fighters on the battlefield, saw the only way out of the Al-Aqsa Storm predicament in committing historical crimes against the oppressed people of Gaza! The massacre of over 67,000 women and children, the disabilities inflicted on over 5,000 people, injuries to over 200,000 Gazans, imposing hunger and thirst on women and children, and the bombing of homes, tents, and healthcare and educational centers, displayed a vile and savage face of the Zionist regime's leaders to the world.

Furthermore, the Zionist regime, by securing comprehensive military, economic, political, and media support from Western countries and the US to maximize its crimes against the people of Gaza and Palestinian fighters, made them complicit in its unprecedented crimes and revealed the ugly face of Western civilization hidden behind a facade of apparent progress. World public opinion clearly saw how Western countries, which preach human rights, justice, freedom of speech, women's and children's rights, etc., stood fully alongside the crimes of the Zionist regime and turned a blind eye to the brutal slaughter of women and children in Gaza! This was the ultimate manifestation of Western civilization's decadence, revealed following the Al-Aqsa Storm Operation.

Another major achievement of Al-Aqsa Storm Operation was the maturity and effectiveness of the Resistance Front in various countries. With the occurrence of Al-Aqsa Storm, resistance leaders in Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, and Yemen, with complete coordination, created a united front against the criminals of the occupying regime, to the extent that, by the admission of Zionist experts, the coordination in operations against the occupiers of Palestine at this juncture was unprecedented in the history of the establishment of the state called Israel. Amidst this, the comprehensive support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the justified actions of the Palestinian fighters and the oppressed people of Gaza was highly remarkable, especially since most Arab and Islamic countries not only failed to support the resistance but, by aligning with the US, Western countries, and the Zionist regime, pressured the resistance in various ways.

These supports, on one hand, and the united Resistance Front on the other, compelled the leaders of the Zionist regime to change their strategy and tactics. The change in approach for the criminal Zionist gang involved assassinating resistance commanders, military confrontation with the Islamic Republic, expanding the scope of war across the region, and forcing America into direct involvement in the conflict. The martyrdom of Iranian military advisors in Syria, the assassination of Martyr Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, the explosion of pagers, the assassination of senior Hezbollah commanders, and ultimately the cowardly assassination of Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the late Secretary-General of Hezbollah, and Martyr Safi al-Din, his successor, clearly showed that for the Zionist regime to escape the Al-Aqsa Storm predicament, there are no red lines!

However, despite the Zionists crossing all red lines, none of their declared military confrontation objectives, such as defeating Hamas, freeing captives, displacing the people of Gaza, etc., were achieved. Therefore, the leaders of the Zionist regime, in a miscalculation, concluded that since all events in the resistance sphere are happening under the leadership and support of the Islamic Republic, they must bring down the Islamic Republic of Iran! To achieve this aim, by their own admission, after months of planning, precisely when Iranian diplomats were negotiating with the American side, they launched a surprise military aggression. By martyring senior military commanders, nuclear scientists, and striking some military and civilian centers, they foolishly waited for the Iranian people to pour into the streets and finish off the Islamic Republic of Iran, but what a vain delusion!

Immediately after the first wave of the Zionist regime's military aggression subsided, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Imam Khamenei, by replacing high-level military commanders, promised in a televised message that the armed forces of the Islamic Republic would make the Zionist criminals helpless. And indeed, the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, especially the Aerospace Force of the IRGC, within just a few hours, by missile strikes on important centers in Tel Aviv, Haifa, and other Israeli military bases, made the Zionist leaders regret their actions to the extent that by the fourth day of conflict, they were desperately requesting a ceasefire through the mediation of some countries. Currently, although the enemy tries to keep Iran and its people in a state of neither war nor peace, with the manifestation of the leadership's authority, the power of the armed forces, and the unity and cohesion created among the people, the status of the sacred system of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the region and the world has been exceptionally elevated.
