TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Iranian satellite "Fakhr-1," which was launched into orbit by the domestically developed Simorgh carrier, has successfully established 20 communications with the command center on Earth, fulfilling all anticipated outcomes from the launch.
Seyed Ahmad Hosseini Mounes, spokesperson for the aerospace division of Iran's Defense Ministry, confirmed that the launch of the Fakhr-1 satellite has achieved all operational expectations.
Fakhr-1, which is operated by Iran's Army, has been positioned at an altitude of 420 kilometers above the Earth, in conjunction with the Saman-1 orbit transfer module.
The satellite was developed by Iranian specialists within the Ministry of Defense.
Moharram Ghiasvand, head of the Space Group at the Electronics Industries of the Ministry of Defense, highlighted the capabilities of the Fakhr-1 satellite, indicating that it can be observed making an average of four to five favorable passes in low Earth orbit (LEO) throughout the day.
