Iran’s parl. fully backs Al-Fu'ah, Kafriya residents Iranian Parliament's General Director for International Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks in his meeting with Hussein Ragheb al-Hussein, a member of the Syrian People Assembly and Deputy Head of the Syrian National Dialogue Forum, on Tuesday in Tehran.

While congratulating recent victories by the Syrian army, the Iranian official said "political and field achievements by the Syrian army in various fronts are indications of absolute determination held by the Syrian nation and government to address the ongoing crisis.”

Amir-Abdollahian stressed Iran’s support for Syria in view of present circumstances adding "Tehran has always supported people and government of Syria in the fight against terrorism and will always remain on the side of the Arab country.”

"Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Iran, with great sensitivity, in following the alarming humanitarian situation in Al-Fu'ah and Kafriya,” highlighted the official asserting that continuous assistance will be provided for defenseless people of the two towns in Idlib Governorate even though the areas are still under siege by Takfiri terrorist groups.

The official also emphasized the need for Turkey to deploy humanitarian aid to the people under siege and called for a visit by parliamentary friendship groups of the two countries.

"The siege of Al-Fu'ah and Kafriya has cut off all the routes connecting the cities to the outside world,” he noted.

Member of the Syrian People Assembly, Hussein Ragheb al-Hussein, appreciated all-inclusive support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the Syrian government and nation saying "the two towns are still under blockade by terrorist groups and suffering of citizens has created harsh humanitarian conditions.”

Ragheb al-Hussein strongly criticized silence of human rights organizations and lack of action by the United Nations in breaking the cities’ siege; "lack of drugs, drinking water and electricity kills dozens of people on daily basis.”

Over the past three years, more than 7,000 women and children in Al-Fu'ah and Kafriya have been under siege of Takfiri terrorist groups who are being backed by certain countries.
