Syria Army Destroys Terrorists’ Positions in Idlib

The army launched artillery and rocket strikes against the hideouts of al-Nusra militants in the areas of Jerjanaz, Khan Sheikhoun, Tajtaya and Abou Haba in the southern countryside of Idlib, SANA reported.

Large groups of the militants were killed and their fortified dens destroyed during the raids, the report added.

The attacks came after the terrorists violated the de-escalation zone agreement reached following a meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, in the Black Sea resort city of Sochi on September 17.

The Syrian government’s attacks on terrorists’ positions in Idlib and Hama come in the wake of reports that members of the Jabhat Fateh al-Sham Takfiri terrorist group, formerly known as al-Nusra Front, together with militants from the so-called Turkistan Islamic Party in Syria, are mounting chemical warheads on more than a hundred missiles in cooperation with European experts in Idlib.
