TEHRAN (Defapress) - In recent weeks, the issue of U.S. military threats against the Islamic Republic of Iran has been a significant topic at the forefront of global media analysis.

Review of Iran's Missile Attack on the Strategic Base of

U.S. leaders have repeatedly threatened Iran with military attacks, and the operationalization of the options on the table for the United States warrants serious consideration, as these threats appear to be primarily psychological in nature.

For example, there was recent talk of attacks using heavy B-2 bombers targeting Iran's military and nuclear facilities. Of course, Iran's own options on the table were also examined, one of which was the possibility of drone and missile strikes on the Diego Garcia military base in the event of military action against Iran.

However, this is not the only U.S. military base in the region. Other U.S. military bases are located in countries around the Persian Gulf and the broader region, including the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Syria, and Turkey.

The U.S., with British assistance, has established the large Sheikh Isa military base in Bahrain, which supports U.S. Navy and CENTCOM air and naval operations in the region. Another key U.S. military base is Al Dhafra in the UAE, which plays a role in supporting air operations, including those involving F-22 fighter jets.

Yet another important U.S. military base in West Asia is Incirlik, located in the city of Adana in southern Turkey. Field reports indicate that this base holds the largest stockpile of nuclear bombs in the region. The U.S. military base 13 miles from Riyadh is another critical facility that could be used in air operations, all of which are considered potential threats against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

But the question remains: How can the Islamic Republic of Iran respond to these threats in West Asia and the Persian Gulf region?

In recent years, the Islamic Republic of Iran has based its military doctrine on asymmetric warfare and missile and drone capabilities, building significant equipment, armament, and tactical strength within its armed forces.

It appears that one of Iran's potential responses to a U.S. attack would be missile strikes on certain military bases, including Sheikh Isa in Bahrain, Al Dhafra in the UAE, and the Riyan base located 13 miles from the Saudi capital.

Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Aerospace Force, stated in this regard: "The United States has 10 military bases with over 50,000 troops in the region, and it is sitting in a glass room. Someone sitting in a glass room doesn’t throw stones outside."

These remarks suggest that, in the event of a U.S. military airstrike on Iran's military and nuclear infrastructure, one of Iran's likely actions would be to attack U.S. military bases in West Asia.
