TEHRAN (Defapress) - The newspaper Al-Akhbar has dedicated a special edition to Martyr Major General Mohammad Saeed Izadi (Hajj Ramadan). In one of the articles in this special edition, a senior commander of the Al-Qassam Brigades penned a tribute to the character and role of this martyr in the Palestinian Resistance, which reads as follows:

Hajj Ramadan, Martyr of Palestine

"Martyr Hajj Ramadan was never a normal name among supporters of the Palestinian cause. He was not a temporary or passing figure in the path of supporting and standing with the suffering of the Palestinian people. He was one of the fundamental pillars, key figures, and steadfast personalities of the Islamic Resistance project in Palestine, particularly in its advanced military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades.

In Al-Qassam, we knew him as a benevolent brother, a loyal companion, and an irreplaceable operational backbone. One eye was fixed on the military fronts, and the other on supply and logistical routes. His heart beat ceaselessly for Quds, Al-Aqsa Mosque, the battlefronts, and its fighters. Hajj Ramadan was among those men shaped by the fields of jihad, nurtured by the nights of siege, and rooted in the soil of sacrifice. These are men who understand life only in the path of liberation and measure time by the clock of emancipation.

For over 30 years, Hajj Ramadan advanced the project of freedom step by step, in silence and sincerity. His real jihad began the moment Palestinian leaders were exiled to Marj al-Zohour in 1992. He was there, standing among the leaders of the Resistance, sharing in consultations and strategic planning, offering them loyalty and support, and seeing in their faces the signs of future victory.

Through years of silent effort and heavy responsibility, Hajj Ramadan tirelessly worked to transform potential into power, to organize energies into structured systems, and to truly function as the 'Strategic Support Engineer of the Resistance' from outside Palestine. He was not merely a conduit for material aid or a liaison between institutions; he was a genuine decision-maker, influencer, and builder in developing the Resistance’s capabilities. He recognized needs with precision, understood priorities, and worked with patience and perseverance, regardless of cost, to fulfill them.

He witnessed every stage of the Resistance’s growth up close, from the first bullets and rudimentary rifles to advanced missiles, drones, and tunnels that strike at the heart of the enemy. In this journey, he was problem-solver, the one who knocked on doors of support, and the constant companion of development. He was never absent from an evaluation meeting, a coordination session, or a strategic discussion. One of his most prominent traits was his sincere belief that the battle against the Zionist enemy was not the responsibility of Palestinians alone, but the duty of the entire Islamic Ummah.

For this reason, he always sought to place Iran, with its leadership, people, and institutions, at the core of this responsibility. Alongside his longtime companion, Hajj Qassem Soleimani, he was a true partner in building the 'Axis of Resistance.' With his successor, Hajj Esmail Qaani, and all the loyalists of the Islamic Republic, he worked tirelessly to keep Palestine at the center of attention and to ensure that 'Al-Qassam Brigades' and 'Saraya al-Quds' remained at the heart of readiness, support, and connectivity.

During the great battle of Al-Aqsa Flood' Operation, our martyr was not on the sidelines, he was at the heart of the battlefield: present in the field, in consultations, in tracking developments, and immersed in details. With all his strength, he worked for the success of the battle, bringing fronts closer, strengthening coordination, and uniting hearts and efforts toward a single goalthe defeat of the enemy and the realization of a great field victory. We knew him as a man of boundless energy and inexhaustible determination. He was not one for disputes, and differences never hindered his movement. His focus was solely on strengthening the mujahideen and ensuring the continuity of the battle under any circumstances.

Though he stood behind the frontlines, he was present with his heart and soul in every battlefield: in Gaza, the West Bank, Jerusalem, Jenin, and Al-Khalil. He followed developments moment by moment and oversaw support and preparation efforts. Many times, in private meetings, we saw him in a state of complete humility and sincerity, as if we were sitting alongside our martyred commanders, as if we were conversing with 'Abu Khaled al-Dayf,' 'Abu al-Baraa Marwan Issa,' or 'Abu Ibrahim al-Sinwar.' The same steadfastness, the same vision, the same love for martyrdom. He was so close to us that those who did not know him might have thought he was from Gaza or the alleys of the West Bank.

Only his accent distinguished him from the Palestinian field commanders, but his mind, heart, and soul were entirely Palestinian, jihadist, and resistant.

Now, as we bid farewell to this mujahid commander, we do not weep; we make a covenant with him. We remember him not for sorrow, but to strengthen our steps. We remind ourselves that the greatness of men is not measured by their words, but by the depth of their impact, and those who work in silence make the enemy tremble in their absence.

Hajj Ramadan was martyred as he had always wished, after a lifetime of devotion, effort, and jihad. Without exaggeration, it can be said that in his life, he was 'the Martyr of Palestine,' and today, before his Lord, he is truly 'the Martyr of Palestine.' He has joined his fellow martyrs, foremost among them Hajj Qassem Soleimani, Abu al-Abd al-Haniyeh, Abu Khaled al-Dayf, Abu al-Baraa Issa, and all the pure-hearted commanders.

In the Al-Qassam Brigades, we proudly bid farewell to this great jihadist commander and affirm that what he left behind, from bonds and foundations to support and leadership, will remain our anchor on this path. His blood and memory will be our eternal motivation until victory is achieved, until Palestine is liberated from the river to the sea, and until the call to prayer echoes from Al-Aqsa Mosque, free from all constraints and occupation."
