TEHRAN (Defapress) - In an interview with Defapress correspondent, Hossein Noushabadi, Director General of Parliamentary Affairs and Laws at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated: The recent claim by the US President’s representative in Syria regarding Iranian issues, on the one hand, shows the desperation and failure of the enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran in their subversive actions and their disappointment in regime change projects in Iran; and on the other hand, it reflects the hypocritical and dishonest behavior of the Americans; a clear example of this is Washington’s role in planning and controlling the recent aggression of the Zionist regime on Iranian territory and the attack on our country’s peaceful nuclear facilities.

America Is Avoiding Fair and Equal Negotiations

Referring to Tom Barak's claim that Iran and the US would resolve their differences through dialogue and the US's readiness to reach an agreement with Tehran, he added: "Experience has shown that the Americans have no belief in fair and equitable negotiations from an equal position and have always entered negotiations with a threatening and arrogant approach; therefore, the most important obstacle to achieving a fair agreement has been their unprincipled positions and irrational preconditions."

Referring to the US President's special representative's admission of Washington's interventionist policies in the past and unsuccessful attempts to change the regime in Iran, Noushabadi considered these statements a sign of America's historical hostile and spiteful policies against the Iranian nation and emphasized: "It is unlikely that the Americans have learned a lesson from their past failures in unjustly confronting the Iranian nation."

The Director General of Parliamentary Affairs and Laws at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also recalled the positions of the Supreme Leader regarding the Iranian nation's historical distrust of the United States and its arrogant behavior, saying: "If the Americans are truly seeking regional solutions and want to leave the issues to the region itself, they must stop supporting the Zionist regime and stop interfering in regional affairs so that the fate of the region can be left to its nations and governments."
