SDF Commander Gunned Down by Unknown Gunmen in RaqqaThe Arabic-language service of the Russian Sputnik news agency reported that Head of the SDF Security-Intelligence Office Fwaz al-Zaher was killed by unknown gunmen in Southwestern Raqqa City.

The source pointed to the prevalence of excessive intimidation by the Kurdish forces after death of their commander, and said that a large number of SDF fighters are in a state of full alert in this region.

Meantime, the measures by SDF which harm the people, including forced conscription, torture of the jailed civilians, releasing tens of ISIL terrorists in lieu of receiving hefty amount of cash and receiving heavy taxes from people have created a new wave of anger among the terrorists in Raqqa.

Meantime, the recent reports indicate the residents of different regions of Raqqa Province are hoisting an increasing number of the Syrian flags and printing graffiti in support of the Syrian army.

In a relevant development in early February, hundreds of residents and tribesmen of Raqqa and Deir Ezzur provinces poured into the streets to show their protest against the military presence of foreign occupying US and French troops.

The protesters voiced their opposition to the presence of the US and French troops and their meddling in their country's internal affairs while calling for their exit by hoisting Syria's flag.

The Syrian citizens also condemned the recent threats by Turkey while calling for the presence of the Syrian Army to all parts of Raqqa and Deir Ezzur to put an end to the presence of terrorists and occupying forces in these areas.

The protesters also condemned the destruction caused by the US-led coalition fighter jets in Raqqa and Deir Ezzur provinces in the last several years, including tens of bridges along the banks of Euphrates and Khabor as well as main roads, crucial passageways, schools and other infrastructures in Raqqa over the past years.

The protests by the Syrian citizens in these regions are underway as the US troops have blocked the entry of humanitarian aid convoys by the International Red Crescent Society and the Syrian government to Eastern Euphrates.
