TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Al Jazeera, Qassam Barghouthi, the son of Marwan Barghouti, also announced in a statement: "During our meetings in Cairo, Doha, and other regions, neither side raised the issue of my father's exile or release, and we have no information about this, and all the published news is false."
These statements come as indirect negotiations for a prisoner exchange between Hamas and the Israeli regime continue, and both sides announced that this time the possibility of reaching an agreement is greater than ever.
A Zionist media, Yedioth Ahronoth, previously announced other details of the prisoner exchange case, adding that the Hamas movement insists that the next prisoner exchange agreement includes Marwan Barghouti, Abdullah Barghouti, and Ahmed Saadat, 3 captured Palestinian leaders. While the Zionist regime's Channel 13 reported that a high-ranking political source in the regime has emphasized that prominent Palestinian prisoner Marwan Barghouti will not be released during the prisoner exchange agreement.
Also, following the release of news of progress in the negotiations to reach a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, a senior official in the Palestinian resistance on Wednesday night, referring to the details of the proposed agreement, announced that it would be implemented in 2 stages if agreed.
He said: "It is clear that there is tangible progress in the negotiations and that Israel has made its demands conditional on the release of 34 of its prisoners and is ready to withdraw from populated areas."
This senior Palestinian resistance official in the Gaza Strip also announced the details of the proposed ceasefire agreement: "The first phase is a 42-day ceasefire. This phase includes the release of women, children, the elderly, and female soldiers held by the Zionist regime, in exchange for the release of a large number of Palestinian prisoners with heavy sentences and life imprisonment."
He also clarified: "The second phase includes a complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and the declaration of a ceasefire. In the second phase, male soldiers held by the Zionist regime will also be exchanged, and in parallel, several Palestinian prisoners will be released."
Earlier, a Hamas official in an interview with Al-Araby Al-Jadeed newspaper announced the continuation of talks on reaching a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and announced the resolution of most of the points of disagreement.
Heretofore, an Egyptian official had said in an interview with the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar that the position of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu on the Gaza ceasefire is now softer than ever.
He as the participator in the Cairo talks on Gaza, added: "Netanyahu has agreed to many issues that he previously had reservations about or opposed, and the time to declare a ceasefire in Gaza is very close."
The Egyptian official, who was not named by Al-Akhbar, said: "The events in Syria led to a brief pause in the Gaza negotiations, but these negotiations have resumed."
