TEHRAN (Defapress) - The 8-year imposed war against Iran was the arena of an asymmetrical war, with Iranian fighters on one side and a heavily armed army on the other, supported financially and with weapons by the powerful countries, while sanctions and financial pressures prevented the provision of weapons, equipment, and data-x-items needed for the war; therefore, the fighters sometimes used innovative and at the same time simple methods to confront the enemy.

Transferring the 130mm Cannon to the Firing Position

The transfer of the 130mm cannon to the front line in a situation where the fighters had to move backward to fire was one of the innovative plans on the fronts, the way it was described in the book "Front Culture" as follows:

"In the operation to liberate Mehran, we used the Russian (or Korean) 130mm cannon preemption. These cannons had 2 axles that had to move backward in the firing position and the vehicles could not bring them into position. According to the plan that was drawn up, a piece of the front wheel axle was installed and fixed to the back of the vehicles so that they could move the cannons to the firing position in reverse gear."
