TEHRAN (Defapress) - Brigadier General Bahman Kargar, head of the Foundation for the Preservation and Publication of Sacred Defense and Resistance Works and Values, discussed the esteemed personality of Martyr Fereshteh Bagheri (Afshordi) in an interview with IRIB. He stated, "Martyr Bagheri, the daughter of Major General Martyr Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, was a committed and hardworking woman who, despite her family's standing, led a simple life and exhibited simple behavior."

Martyr Fereshteh Bagheri: A Valuable Role Model for Society

Brigadier General Kargar said, "My devotion to Martyrs Mohammad and Hassan Bagheri goes back many years; I collaborated with Martyr Bagheri since 1980. All martyrs are great. Martyr Rashid, the brilliant military strategist of Iran, Martyr Salami, Martyr Hajizadeh, Martyr Mehrabi, Martyr Rabbani, Dr. Tehranchi, and Dr. Abbasi were our friends."

The head of the Foundation for the Preservation and Publication of Sacred Defense and Resistance Works and Values noted Martyr Fereshteh Bagheri's start at the Defapress. He explained, "About 6 years ago, Major General Martyr Bagheri called me and said he wanted to discuss something. Later, in a face-to-face meeting, he stated, 'My daughter has studied Communications field and is interested in journalism. I don't want to send her somewhere and create an issue. If possible, could she work at the Defapress?' I gladly accepted, but he emphasized that he didn't want anyone to know about it and only asked for the news agency's address so Ms. Bagheri herself could apply." After completing the administrative procedures, Martyr Bagheri began working at the Defapress.

Brigadier General Kargar continued, "It can be safely said that this martyr was the simplest and most hardworking person in that news agency. She commuted by subway and sometimes stayed late at work, to the extent that news agency officials were concerned for her safety. Even on work trips, despite colleagues offering to accompany her, she preferred to return alone."

The head of the Foundation for the Preservation and Publication of Sacred Defense and Resistance Works and Values stated, "I told Major General Bagheri that we were concerned about his daughter's safety, but he very clearly said, 'Let us live our lives and live among the people.' This perspective is a great lesson for all of us. The highest military official in the country sends his daughter to work without any special privileges, to serve with simplicity and selfless effort. This is a valuable role model that should be introduced to society."

He further referred to the terrorist crimes of the Zionist regime against Iran, stating, "If you have a problem with an individual, why do you attack families and ordinary people? What human logic or human rights principle aligns with assassinating scientists and massacring civilians? When the Islamic Republic punishes terrorists, the West cries human rights, but it remains silent regarding the crimes of the Zionist regime and the United States."

Brigadier General Kargar emphasized, "Rest assured, this criminal regime will be annihilated by the people of Iran and the oppressed of the world, and America will also be held accountable for its actions."

According to Defapress, Martyr Fereshteh Bagheri (Afshordi), born on December 7, 1997, graduated with a degree in Communications from Allameh Tabataba'i University. She began her media activities in 2019 at the Defapress. With abundant intelligence and acumen, inherited from her family background, and with exemplary zeal and dedication, she climbed the ladder of progress and effectively contributed to promoting the pure culture of sacrifice and martyrdom.

Martyr Bagheri, at the age of 28, attained martyrdom alongside her esteemed father, Lieutenant General Martyr Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, during the brutal attack by the cursed Zionist regime (dawn of Friday, June 13th), joining her martyred uncle, General Hassan Bagheri.
