TEHRAN (Defapress) - The latest excerpt from Prince Andrew’s biography, published in the Daily Mail, has sparked another scandal for the royal family.
According to the biography’s account, Prince Harry (the youngest son of King Charles III) punched his uncle in the face during a heated argument in 2013. The incident reportedly began when Harry called his uncle a "coward" for avoiding him and speaking ill of him, then struck him in the nose with his fist, causing severe bleeding.
The dispute between uncle and nephew stemmed from comments about Harry’s marriage to Meghan Markle. Andrew allegedly told his nephew that he was making "the biggest mistake of his life" and that the marriage "wouldn’t last more than a month." Andrew also accused Meghan of being an "opportunist" and insisted she was "too old" for Harry.
A spokesperson for Prince Harry denied the media reports, stating: "Prince Harry and Prince Andrew have never had a physical altercation, and Prince Andrew never made the alleged remarks about the Duchess of Sussex (Meghan Markle) to Prince Harry."
Prince Andrew lost his standing in the British monarchy after his disastrous 2019 BBC interview, which aimed to cover up his ties to Jeffrey Epstein (the American sex crime kingpin). He was stripped of all royal and military titles. However, the British king has allowed his younger brother to remain in one of the royal residences. Recently, the royal court stopped Andrew’s annual £1 million allowance.
It is worth noting that in 2020, Prince Harry described royal life as "toxic," criticized the royal family’s racist behavior toward his wife, and severed ties with the monarchy. He later left England, briefly stayed in Canada, and eventually moved to the U.S. Earlier this year, Harry told the BBC that despite his deep conflicts with his father, he has "forgiven" the royal family and wishes to reconcile with them.
