TEHRAN (Defapress) - Sayyid Abdul Malik Al-Houthi, the leader of the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement, said in a statement that the Zionist regime's goal in recognizing the Somaliland region is to create a base for the Zionists' hostile activities against Somalia and other African countries, and emphasized that Arab and Islamic countries must stand with Somalia with a firm and serious stance.

In this statement, he added about the recent developments in Somalia: The recognition of Somaliland by the Zionist regime is a hostile act against Somalia and other African countries, and is also an act against Yemen, the Red Sea, and the countries located on both sides of this sea.

He stated: "With this action, the Zionist regime seeks to find a foothold in Somalia to operate against the region and to disintegrate the countries of the region. This conspiracy is not limited to Somalia, and its main goal is to change the Middle East, and the Islamic Ummah must confront it by any means."

Al-Houthi added: "This action is invalid and has no legal value, and is an aggression and a hostile plan."

He added: "The Zionist regime is a usurper regime that has no legitimacy of its own, and how can it recognize the legitimacy of others?"

The leader of Ansar Allah of Yemen said: "Arab and Islamic countries must stand with a firm and serious stance by Somalia, support the people of this country, and defeat the efforts of the Zionist regime in this regard."

Al-Houthi added: "The Islamic and Arab world must put pressure on the traitors and companions of this regime in Somaliland, take measures on the international stage, and adopt a firm stance in support of Somalia in all international institutions."

He emphasized: We emphasize our firm position in supporting the Somali nation in confronting the Zionist enemy, and we will take every possible action to support this nation. Therefore, we consider any presence of the Zionist regime in Somaliland as a military target for the Yemeni armed forces, and we consider aggression against Somalia as aggression against Yemen and a threat to regional security, which must be dealt with decisively.

Al-Houthi added: We do not accept that part of Somalia becomes a base for the Zionist regime at the cost of losing the country's independence and sovereignty and destroying the security of the Somali nation and the security of the region and the Red Sea.

He further called on all countries on both sides of the Red Sea and all Arab and Islamic countries to take practical steps and take practical measures to prevent the Zionist regime from attacking Somalia and other Muslim and independent countries.

In the end, the leader of Ansar Allah of Yemen once again emphasized the necessity of the Islamic Ummah standing by the Palestinian people and helping them, saying: "Failure in this regard will allow the Zionist enemy to plot against other countries, because this regime is the enemy of all countries in the region, and if its plots are not confronted with seriousness, determination, and responsibility, its threat will be directed at all countries."

The Israeli Prime Minister's Office previously announced that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of this regime recognized the Republic of Somaliland as an independent and sovereign country on Friday, December 26.

According to this report, the Israeli Prime Minister's Office added: "The agreement with Somaliland was made within the framework of the agreements known as the Abraham Accords.

Following this action, the Zionist newspaper Israel Hayom revealed in a report that the head of the Somaliland separatists, Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi, traveled to the occupied territories in October as part of secret negotiations between the two sides and met with the Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar in occupied Jerusalem.

Somaliland is a region separated from Somalia, and its supporters hope that through this possible agreement, they will obtain the approval of the world's countries for international recognition.

Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud, emphasizing his country's firm opposition to any attempt to forcibly relocate Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, announced that Somalia will not allow the conflicts in the Middle East to be transferred to its territory.

In this regard, media sources revealed that Somaliland and Israeli authorities have agreed to accept residents of the Gaza Strip, who will be forcibly relocated from the region, in exchange for Tel Aviv's recognition of the region.
