"The IAEA's responsibilities have been fully specified
and defined. What has been released about the nuclear deal and Iran or declared
by the Agency all indicate Iran's commitment to its undertakings and I think
that there is no ambiguity in this regard," Foreign Ministry Spokesman
Bahram Qassemi told reporters in a press conference in Tehran on Monday.
"The US government and representatives' visits to the IAEA are related to themselves but their attempts to weaken the nuclear deal are fruitless and in vain because finally the Agency pursues its responsibilities precisely and the previous (IAEA) reports (on Iran) confirm this," he added.
Western media reported that Haley will travel to Vienna later this month to discuss Iran's nuclear activities with IAEA officials, as part of Washington's review of Tehran's compliance with a 2015 nuclear deal
A US official told Reuters on Wednesday that Haley, a member of President Donald Trump's cabinet, would meet with the IAEA officials and the US delegation in Vienna to further explore the extent of Iran's nuclear activities.
In December 2016, IAEA Director-General Yukiya Amano lauded Iran for its full implementation of the 2015 nuclear deal with the world powers, calling on all sides to help keep the agreement alive.
"I am satisfied with the trend (of implementation) of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and Iran has acted upon its undertakings," Amano told reporters after meeting Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi in Tehran.
He also expressed the hope that the implementation of the nuclear deal would continue the present trend, a warning to the world powers not to lose the opportunity by lagging or hesitating about their implementation.
