Arabia not cooperating in journo's case

Prior to meeting representatives of Turkish NGOs in London, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said on Saturday Saudi Arabia will have to allow prosecutors and the experts to enter the Consulate in Istanbul.

He called for Saudis' full cooperation in the probe into the case of the journalist who disappeared at the Saudi Arabia Consulate in Istanbul and is believed to have been murdered by Saudi officials due to criticizing Saudi regime.

The Turkish Foreign Minister also emphasized the need for Saudi Arabia to cooperate in investigating Jamal Khashoggi's case and said there is a consensus on establishing a joint working group with Saudi Arabia.

The 59-year-old Saudi illustrious journalist, who had left the country since Bin Salman was named Crown Prince and moved to the US, disappeared last Tuesday after he entered the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul to collect documents for his forthcoming marriage.

In his articles published by the Washington Post, Khashoggi sharply rebuked Saudi Arabia's war in Yemen, financial crisis between Saudi Arabia and Canada and arresting women's rights activists.
