TEHRAN (Defapress) - According to Shafaq News, Abdul Qader Karbalaei, the military deputy of the Al-Nujaba Movement, emphasized in a statement that the movement will continue to resist American forces by all means.

He considered the continued presence of American troops in Iraq to be a clear violation of the country’s sovereignty and announced his opposition to any delay or delay in implementing the agreement to withdraw foreign forces.
According to the statement, which Karbalaei published on the X, it states: The continued presence of American troops is taking place despite the official and popular demand of the Iraqis for their withdrawal, and Washington is continuously interfering in Iraq’s internal affairs, including by supporting and equipping armed groups whose goal is to destabilize the country.
The statement continued: “Occupation is a justification for continuing the legitimate resistance, and this resistance is a right that the occupied nations enjoy and derives its legitimacy from the dignity of the Iraqi nation.”
Karbalaei concluded by emphasizing that pressures and threats will not affect this approach, and the Al-Nujaba Movement will remain committed to the option of confrontation until the end of the foreign military presence in Iraq.
Shafaq News wrote: This is while in the past 24 hours, some Iraqi armed groups have agreed to the call for the government to monopolize weapons, and official positions have been announced by Shibl Al-Zaidi, Secretary General of the Imam Ali Brigades, Qais Al-Khazali, Secretary General of the Asaib Ahl al-Haq Movement, as well as the Ansar Alah Al-Awfiya Group and the spokesman for the Sayyid Al-Shuhada Brigades.
In contrast, the Iraqi Kataib Hezbollah issued a statement on Saturday night, expressing its opposition to the "disarmament" and emphasizing: "Sovereignty, ensuring Iraq's security, and preventing foreign interference in all its forms are the prelude to a dialogue about the government's monopoly on weapons."
This Resistance group in Iraq added that Kataib Hezbollah's position is in line with the views of the authorities and considers the fulfillment of these conditions a prerequisite.
Earlier, Head of the Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq, Faiq Zaidan, announced the positive response of the armed groups to the government's monopoly on weapons and thanked the leaders of these groups for their cooperation in what was announced as "the realization of the rule of law and the transition to political activity after the national need for military activity is eliminated."
In recent months, the United States has exerted intense pressure on the Iraqi government to end the activities of resistance groups, disband them, and control weapons outside the framework of the government. Also, given that representatives of resistance groups have gained significant seats in parliament after the recent elections, Washington has stipulated that resistance groups will not participate in the future government.
