Iran’s Sovereignty Over the Strait of Hormuz Is Stable
TEHRAN (Defapress) - Ebrahim Azizi, Head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, in an interview with Defapress correspondent regarding the passage of foreign vessels through a route other than the routes announced by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the Strait of Hormuz, stated: The route of the ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz is completely clear and specific, and the IRGC Navy has been identifying the vessels since they entered the region, drawing, guiding, and controlling their movement.

He added: The Islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly stated that any action or movement outside the routes determined by Iran will not be a safe and secure route, and the Islamic Republic of Iran will not allow any route other than the designated routes to be used.
Emphasizing the continuation of Iran’s sovereignty over this strategic passage, the Head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Parliament stated: The sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran over the Strait of Hormuz remains stable, and this situation should not return to the previous conditions. Accordingly, all vessels must comply with the rules and routes announced by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Azizi then said regarding recent developments and the behavior of the United States: Any violation of commitments by the United States in the past days and any violation of the ceasefire has been, is, and will be met with a decisive, crushing, and regrettable response.
He continued, regarding the violation of the Islamabad MoU by the United States and the Iranian delegation's trip to conduct the next round of negotiations, stating: "The Americans must keep in mind the fact that the Islamic Republic of Iran acts in all its decisions based on national interests, national will, and under the guidance and measures of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and will not retreat or compromise in defending its rights and interests."
The Head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Parliament continued: "Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran has experienced significant growth in various dimensions compared to the period before the 40-day war in terms of capacities, capabilities, strategic capabilities, popular support, and social capital."
He emphasized: "The world must accept the new Iran and also the new order that the Islamic Republic of Iran is pursuing, especially in the Persian Gulf region; an order that is based on regional authority, ensuring local security, and protecting the interests of the nations of the region."
