"Extradite" & "Track 143" to go on screen at Resistance festival
The movies will be shown along with productions from France, Syria and Chile, IRNA reported.
Directed by Narges Abyar, 'Track 143' narrates the agonies of a mother during the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq war.
It received both the Crystal Phoenix for Audience Favorite Film and the Best Actress Award of the 2013 International Fajr Film Festival.
This year's festival is to present some 259 screen productions selected from among 2,000 entries from other countries.
The International Resistance Film Festival presents screen creations focusing on the theme of 'Sacred Defense', which refers to the courage of Iranian soldiers during the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq war.
The Islamic Revolution and Sacred Defense Cinematic Community has organized this year’s festival with special focus on “Resistance, Wisdom and Prosperity”.
The event is to be presented in the three sections of 'International Competition', 'Imad Moqniyeh Award' and the 'Outlook of Iran's Resistance Cinema in the World'.
The festival is held annually during Iran's Sacred Defense Week, from September 22-29.
