Turkish Military Convoy Enters Syria's Hama to Set up New Monitoring Post

TEHRAN (defapress)- A long military convoy of the Turkish vehicles, accompanied by militants, entered Northern Hama to pave the ground for setting up the ninth post for monitoring ceasefire in a de-escalation zone in the region.

Turkish Military Convoy Enters Syria's Hama to Set up New Monitoring PostThe Turkish convoy, including 100 heavy military vehicles and 50 trucks carrying logistic equipment, accompanied by the terrorists of Ahrar al-Sham and Faylaq al-Sham, has arrived in regions near the town of Morek in Northern Hama.

A local source said that the Turkish convoy went through the villages and towns of Kafr Lusin, Sarmada, Ma'arat al-Nu'aman and Khan Sheikhoun, adding that the Turkish troops have set up the ninth monitoring post in the region.   

Also, a delegation from the Turkish Army, accompanied by a military convoy, arrived in Syria's Idlib on Saturday to set up another de-escalation monitoring post in the region after the Presidents of Iran, Turkey and Russia met in Ankara to explore new ways to end the crisis in Syria.

The sources in Northern Hama reported that a Turkish delegation, accompanied by a number of military vehicles, entered Idlib province and visited four points in Khan Sheikhoun region in Southern Idlib and in the towns of Morek, Lahaya, Kafr Zita and al-Sayad in Northern Hama.

The sources said that the Turkish delegation's visit was aimed at setting up the eighth de-escalation zone monitoring post in Northwestern Syria.

Other sources said that the Turkish army was to set up the eighth monitoring post in al-Zaytouniyeh in Jabal al-Turkman region in Northern Lattakia.

In the meantime, the Turkey's state-run Anadolu said Iran and Russia established eight Monitoring Posts in Idlib province, but not in the regions that are under monitor by the Turkish forces.

Tehran and Moscow have not yet made any comment on the report.
