These strikes were ordered by Trump and targeted radar systems, defense systems, as well as missile and drone systems.

The American newspaper also cited sources stating that the attacks on Yemen were aimed at reopening international shipping routes in the Red Sea, which are under the control of Ansar Allah.

The New York Times added that the attacks on Ansar Allah will continue for several days, and depending on the group's response, there is a possibility of an escalation in the scope of these strikes.

A spokesperson for Yemen's Ministry of Health announced that, according to preliminary reports, 9 Yemenis were killed and 9 others were injured in U.S. and British airstrikes on a residential area in northern Sanaa.

Yemeni sources reported that the number of casualties from the U.S. and British nighttime and early morning attacks on residential areas in Yemen has risen to 39, adding that these figures are related to the bombings in Sanaa and Saada.

Yemen's Supreme Political Council responded to the U.S. and British aggression against various regions of the country, emphasizing that targeting civilians demonstrates the inability of the United States. This action will not deter us from supporting Gaza but will instead push the situation into a more difficult and intense phase. We assure the resilient Yemeni people and emphasize that the aggressors will be punished professionally and painfully. The U.S. and the Zionist regime will face defeat and disappointment, just as they did in the "Al-Aqsa Storm" battle.

The Supreme Political Council of Yemen stated: We call on the international community to take responsibility in the face of the reckless actions of the U.S. and Israel, the consequences of which will affect everyone. Yemen's maritime operations will continue until the blockade on Gaza is lifted and humanitarian aid is delivered. The U.S. airstrikes on our country represent a return to the militarization of the Red Sea and pose a serious threat to international maritime security in the region.

The political office of Yemen's Ansar Allah movement also issued a statement declaring that the U.S. aggression against northern Sanaa will not go unanswered, and our forces are prepared to retaliate and continue the fight until victory is achieved. This attack will not deter the Yemeni nation from supporting Palestine and standing with the people and resistance of Gaza. The U.S. and British aggression is a response to Yemen's stance in support of the Palestinian people. This blatant attack on Yemeni soil shows that the U.S. is fighting on behalf of the Zionist regime. Targeting civilians and non-military facilities constitutes a war crime and is a sign of American terrorism against nations.

Yemen's Ministry of Foreign Affairs also condemned the U.S. and British attacks on civilian targets, describing the action as a clear violation of Yemen's sovereignty and stability. The ministry stated: These attacks aim to force Yemen to retreat from its supportive stance toward the Palestinian people and to protect the Zionist regime. This aggression comes at a time when calm had returned to the Red Sea, and the restrictions imposed were solely on Israeli ships. Yemen will defend itself with all its might, and these attacks will only strengthen Yemen's resolve to support the Palestinian people. We call on the international community and freedom-loving people around the world to condemn the attacks on Yemen, as this aggression threatens the security and stability of the region and the world.

Hazam Al-Assad, a leader of Yemen's Ansar Allah movement, responded to the attacks by saying: We are not among the nations that will accept the violation of our national sovereignty. We will make American voters regret the day they chose Trump as the president of the United States. Nothing can change our principled stance in supporting the oppressed Palestinian people.
