TEHRAN (Defapress) - Seyed Abbas Araqchi," Iran's Foreign Minister, today (Sunday) before the start of the fourth round of indirect talks between Iran and the U.S., commented on the details of this round of negotiations, stating:

Enrichment Is Not Negotiable

"Following yesterday's trip to the region and the consultations held with Saudi Arabia and Qatar, today I am heading to the next round of talks. This morning, we had further consultations in Tehran, and in this round, we hope to reach a decisive point."

Contradictions in the U.S. Stances Inside and Outside the Negotiation Room

The Foreign Minister noted that, unfortunately, there are many contradictory statements from the opposite side, both in interviews and in their positions, saying: "We witness contradictions, whether inside the negotiation room, outside of it, or in the media space. The positions of the opposing side constantly shift and change, which is one of the challenges in the negotiations. The Islamic Republic of Iran, in contrast to the other side, has well-defined and principle-based positions. We have moved in a completely straight line, and our stances are entirely clear."

Iran's Nuclear Program Principles Are Non-Negotiable

Araqchi emphasized: "Iran's nuclear program is based on strong legal and regulatory foundations, and all its peaceful aspects have always been and will continue to be, under the supervision of the IAEA. This is among the rights of the Iranian people, which is not even negotiable or up for bargaining. Enrichment is one of the achievements and honors of the Iranian nation, and a heavy price has been paid for this enrichment, the blood of our nuclear scientists is the cost of this achievement. It is certainly not up for negotiation. This has been our clear position, and we have always stated it."

Iran Has Presented Its Proposal to the U.S. Side

Referring to Iran’s readiness for confidence-building measures and further actions regarding nuclear activities, Araqchi said: "This has always been among our priorities and has been addressed in previous negotiations. Now, based on the same logic, we have presented a proposal to the opposing side that can guarantee the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program. They have also presented their own proposal, but unfortunately, we see contradictory ideas from them."

The Foreign Minister stressed: "On the threshold of a new round, it is necessary to reiterate that the rights of the Iranian people are entirely clear, and our principles and positions on the nuclear program have been explicitly stated. These are not subject to compromise or bargaining. Nevertheless, we are prepared for further confidence-building and transparency beyond what has been done so far, and we hope the other side will come to the negotiating table with a clear and logical approach."
