The sources said that the army men engaged in fierce clashes with the terrorists in the Northern part of Eastern Ghouta and seized control over several farms in Northeastern and Southern directions of the town al-Reihan.
The sources further said that the army men pushed terrorists back from several farms in the Northern and Southern directions of the small town of Aftaris and in the Southwestern direction of Hawsh al-Zawaheri settlement.
They added that the army soldiers managed to advance against the terrorists in the depth of Eastern Ghouta near the town of Modira.
If the army units capture Modira they will be capable of dividing Eastern Ghouta into two Northern and Southern parts.
In a relevant development on Saturday the army forces captured more lands in Eastern Ghouta and managed to lay siege on the terrorists in the strategic town of Harasta.
The army men stormed terrorists' strongholds along the Douma-Harasta highway and pushed the militants back from their positions in Kilani Petrol Station and laid siege on the terrorists in the town of Harasta.
In the meantime, the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that the army forces have now separated Douma and Harasta from other terrorist-held regions in Eastern Ghouta and have gained military control over the terrorists' main line of movements and roads in the region.
