Almost Nothing; The Result of America's Huge Spending in Yemen

America's attacks and aggression against Yemen continue even though, according to American experts and commentators, this war has had a very limited and minor impact on reducing Yemen's military power and capability.

TEHRAN (Defapress) - While the attacks and aggression by the occupying and invading U.S. military against Yemen continue for a third consecutive week, Pentagon officials have admitted in recent closed-door briefings that these strikes have had "very limited and minimal effect" in degrading Yemeni military capabilities.

Almost Nothing; The Result of America's Huge Spending in Yemen

Accordingly, U.S. military and congressional sources—after over 20 days of American attacks on Yemen—have stated in various remarks that despite costing nearly $1 billion, the U.S. military campaign has yielded "no serious or significant military achievements." This underscores the futility and failure of Washington’s strikes, which were launched in support of the Zionist regime.

The New York Times, in an exclusive report, noted:
"According to officials, the Pentagon has dropped over $200 million worth of bombs on Yemen in just the past three weeks."
The report added:
"President Trump claimed this week that Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen had been ‘decimated’ by the relentless strikes he ordered starting March 15. But that’s not what the Pentagon and military officials are privately telling Congress and allied nations."

Meanwhile, CNN cited sources reporting that the U.S. military operation against Ansar Allah has cost approximately $1 billion in under three weeks, despite having "very limited impact."
These sources noted that "hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of munitions" have been used in the attacks, adding that the U.S. military "may soon need to request additional funding from Congress to sustain the Yemen campaign."

Another important and noteworthy issue is that a Pentagon official reported that it is difficult to determine the exact amount of weapons remaining with Ansar Allah; while some Pentagon officials stated that although some Ansar Allah positions were damaged in these attacks, this did not significantly reduce the Yemenis' ability to attack ships moving in the Red Sea.

Meanwhile, CNN, citing three unnamed sources, reported that hundreds of millions of dollars in ammunition, including long-range JASSM cruise missiles, JSOW guided bombs, and Tomahawk missiles, have been used in the US military offensive over the past three weeks, which began on March 15.

However, the interesting thing is that the Pentagon has so far refused to publish the results of the US military attacks on Yemen. This situation comes at a time when both political factions in the US (Democrats and Republicans) have criticized the attack on Yemen. It is still unclear how long US President Donald Trump intends to continue the US attacks on Yemen.

The US military's attacks and aggressions on Yemen continue despite US President Donald Trump repeatedly stating in his speeches that these attacks will continue daily and will not stop as long as Yemen's operations against ships sailing in the Red Sea continue.

Finally, the leaders of Yemen's Ansar Allah have always stated in their speeches and statements since the beginning of the US attacks and aggressions on this country that as long as the Zionist regime's attacks on the Gaza Strip and its all-out siege continue, the missile and drone operations of the Yemeni forces on various cities in Israel and targeting ships sailing to the occupied Palestinian territories will continue.
