TEHRAN (Defapress) - The Zionist newspaper Demarker reported on Sunday that the number of airlines canceling flights to the occupied territories due to missile fire from Yemen has reached 19.
Recently, the spokesperson of the Yemeni Armed Forces issued a statement announcing that, in continuation of Yemen’s support for the Palestinian people and enforcement of an air blockade against the Zionist regime, the Yemeni army carried out a hypersonic ballistic missile attack on Ben Gurion Airport and a drone operation in Tel Aviv.
Reports indicate that over 200 locations in the occupied territories were affected by this situation, and the Zionist regime’s air defense systems were put on high alert in fear of missile strikes.
Following these attacks, several airlines canceled their flights to the occupied territories.
In the latest case, Air India announced that it has suspended its flights to Tel Aviv.
Citing ongoing security concerns in the region after the missile attack earlier this month, Air India extended the suspension of its flights to Tel Aviv until May 25, 2025. The Tata Group-owned airline is the only Indian carrier operating direct flights between Delhi and the occupied territories.
The airline had initially suspended its flights on May 4 after the Yemeni army’s missile attack near Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv.
The suspension was first extended until May 6, then until May 8, and now until May 25.
