TEHRAN (Defapress) - Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran's Foreign Minister, regarding the Zionist enemy’s attack on the IRIB building, stated: "This truly represents the height of cowardice. When they cannot succeed on the real battlefield, they try to destroy a defenseless center that only speaks the truth, which is the national broadcasting headquarters."
He added: "Despite all their claims of supporting free expression, they cannot tolerate the fact that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s broadcasting network portrays the realities of the battlefield. Resorting to an attack on such a center, which is entirely a civilian facility with no role other than enlightenment, is a cowardly act and a sign of desperation."
Araghchi continued: "They thought that by assassinating our commanders or attacking some of our facilities, the Islamic Republic would weaken to the point of quickly raising its hands in surrender. Astonishingly, they have not learned from Iran’s experience. We fought for 8 years and defended heroically. The Iranian people have resisted all pressures and sanctions."
He stressed: "Can the Iranian people really be intimidated into abandoning their rights or failing to defend their land? They saw in practice that they were left in ruins, while our armed forces immediately stepped in, demonstrating 100% readiness."
The Foreign Minister further stated: "The more I reflect, the more I am reminded of Imam Khomeini’s words: ‘Whenever a flag falls from the hand of one commander, it is taken up by the capable hand of another.’ We witnessed this firsthand. The strong hands of commanders who raised the fallen flag and continued the path of defending the nation, leaving the enemy helpless. The strikes delivered were truly effective."
Araghchi emphasized: "Our enemies must understand that militarily, they cannot achieve a solution or force the Iranian people to submit to their demands."
In conclusion, the Foreign Minister stated: "I extend my deepest congratulations to the brave and honorable staff of the national broadcasting network, who stood firm and kept the network operational. This is a source of pride for us."
