He added: We cannot provide all information related to Israeli aggression, but our main focus and concern are the martyred and injured journalists.

Referring to the active diplomacy of the Beirut government, Merkes said: We are in direct contact with international officials and requested to meet with them and delivered our protest note.

He said: This protest note was sent to UNESCO in Paris, an organization that has so far issued more than one statement warning about Israeli aggression against journalists.

Marqes continued: In addition, in a meeting with the ambassadors of the European Union countries, we presented them with protest notes regarding Israel’s aggression against journalists.

He revealed that international organizations have informed us that they cannot receive any guarantees from the Israeli regime.

Merkes emphasized: Whatever we do together in the face of the horrific scale and brazenness of Israel’s crimes, we have still not done enough.

He said: We present our data, facts, and evidence to strengthen Lebanon’s position.

The Lebanese Minister of Information noted: We are eager to act on freedom with responsibility and a mobile balance, because if society is harmed, there will be no freedom anymore.

He said: Our serious emphasis is on the need to respect the other, especially when the issue concerns holy places, symbols, rituals, ceremonies, and religious authorities.

Finally, Merkes clarified about the future of Lebanon: The Lebanese government must restore its existence through the army, help rebuild villages, and return its children.
