TEHRAN (Defapress) - Following the UK Prime Minister's agreement to the US using the country's bases to attack Iran, a strategic bomber, B1B Lancer, arrived at the Royal Air Force base in Fairford.

On Thursday, the US Secretary of War announced that attacks on our country would increase significantly. Following this statement, the bomber known as Boone, which is capable of carrying 24 cruise missiles, arrived at the Gloucestershire base on Friday evening.
Earlier, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer had opposed this US request, an issue that provoked strong criticism from Donald Trump. The US president told reporters at the White House that American pilots had been forced to work longer hours to reach their targets because of initial opposition from London.
After agreeing to use the Fairford and Diego Garcia bases in the Indian Ocean, Starmer emphasized in parliament that his government did not believe in the solution of “regime change from the sky.”
Military analyst Justin Crump also assessed the presence of this bomber as important, saying: “Operations from Fairford base are much more efficient than flying from American soil.”
These developments are taking place on the eighth day of the Ramadan war. After Trump’s statements that “there is no agreement with Iran other than unconditional surrender,” there have been reports of explosions being heard in Tehran.
Meanwhile, following the precise attack by Iranian armed forces on the Akrotiri base in Cyprus, the UK government has been accused of military incompetence in its own domestic space.
The UK prime minister also announced the deployment of fighter jets, helicopters, and another destroyer to West Asia, and stressed that the air defense-capable HMS Dragon is set to sail to the coast of Cyprus next week.
As thousands of flights are canceled every day in the region, a second chartered plane from the UK government to evacuate UK nationals arrived at London’s Gatwick Airport from Muscat at midnight on Saturday. Airlines, including Etihad and Emirates, have said they will continue to operate limited services.
On the third night of the Ramadan War, students at Amir Kabir University gathered in front of the UK embassy in Tehran to warn against London joining the military campaign against Iran.
