TEHRAN (Defapress) - Less than 2 days after the ceasefire agreement between the Israeli regime and the Hamas movement and the end of the Gaza war, the Israeli media has widely interpreted the ceasefire agreement with Hamas as a defeat for the Israeli regime.

Tel Aviv's Defeat Against the Resistance from the Perspective of the Zionist Media

In response to the agreement, the Yedioth Ahronoth stated that “we have failed.” The newspaper emphasized that after 15 months of war, victory over Hamas was not achieved and that both the political and military levels of Israel had failed; an issue whose signs and consequences can be seen in the political atmosphere of the Zionist regime and the new wave of resignations of Tel Aviv officials.

The Israeli Kan channel was another Zionist media outlet that used the word “failure” and stated that the ceasefire was an admission of failure in achieving Israel’s military goals. This issue clearly shows that the Israeli media confessed, with full knowledge to the regime’s and its army’s failure to achieve all of its predetermined goals and plans in the Gaza war.

In this regard, Israel's Channel 14, which is closer to Netanyahu's party than any other media outlet, reported that the agreement with Hamas is a cessation of the war, not the destruction of Hamas, not the return of all the prisoners, and worst of all, it is a price that has been paid. Now, when the media outlet closest to Netanyahu criticizes the way the Gaza war is being conducted and managed in this way, it shows the fact that the course of the Gaza war during the 15 months of the war has not progressed at all as the media and experts expected.

On the other hand, Yossi Yehoshua, a military analyst for the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, wrote in his report yesterday that "after 15 months of war, Netanyahu has been defeated politically and militarily, and Herzi Halevi, the chief of the army's joint staff, has been defeated militarily; victory over Hamas has not been achieved, and both the political and military levels have failed."

But this was not the end of the matter, and the Zionist news site i24NEWS also reported that Hamas did not allow Israel to gain a foothold in Gaza and that the movement still controls the Gaza Strip; therefore, Israel did not achieve its war goals and the reality in the region did not change.

Another important issue was the statements of Alon Mizrahi, a Zionist analyst, who wrote in his analytical report that "Hamas not only defeated Israel but also the entire West; Hamas was able to keep Israeli prisoners and remain resilient in the face of Israel; now this movement has become a cultural myth for future generations."

Also, Israel's Channel 12 reported that the war with Hamas has cost Israel billions of dollars and has eroded the regime's economic strength. The media outlet emphasized that "the government not only failed on the battlefield but also brought the economy to the brink of collapse."

A very important and sensitive issue in this regard is the opinions and views of independent analysts. Some Zionist analysts consider the defeat in the Gaza war to be the result of strategic mistakes and lack of cohesion in the leadership and have predicted that this may lead to a decrease in Netanyahu's popularity and a political crisis in Israel.

Meanwhile, several experts and analysts on the Zionist regime believe that Netanyahu is trying to convince the Zionist public opinion of the positive approach of the ceasefire and prisoner exchange, while it seems that he himself does not believe in this.

"Tamer Al-Meshal," a journalist and analyst of Israeli affairs, says that the Israeli regime prevented the Resistance from carrying out the first phase of the exchange by failing to create calm on the ground 2 days before the agreement was to be implemented.

"Mohaned Mustafa", an expert on Israeli issues, also believes that Netanyahu seems to be in his weakest condition since he entered the world of politics.

Al Jazeera correspondent, Elias Karam, adds that during Netanyahu's speech, thousands of people gathered in Tel Aviv, demanding the immediate implementation of the prisoner exchange and ceasefire and an agreement on it in the second phase, and they are concerned that Netanyahu will try to sabotage the second phase.

Another political expert, Saeed Ziad, believes that Netanyahu cannot declare an end to the war in Gaza, because doing so would land him in court.

In conclusion, it should be said that in general, the Israeli media and analysts have evaluated the ceasefire agreement with Hamas as a defeat for the Zionist regime and have acknowledged the failure of Tel Aviv's leaders and officials, as well as the regime's army, to achieve the predetermined military and political goals in the Gaza war.
