TEHRAN (Defapress) - Gideon Sa'ar, the Foreign Minister of the Israeli regime, claimed on Sunday that the regime is ready to negotiate the second phase of a ceasefire based on the terms and conditions of this phase.
The Israeli Foreign Minister also claimed that Tel Aviv is ready to negotiate within the framework of what he called "the release of hostages based on achieving a Gaza ceasefire during the first 15 days of the holy month of Ramadan," but it is Hamas that has opposed it.
He said, "Israel will never agree to a (continued) Gaza ceasefire and will never begin the second phase without the release of Israeli hostages."
Al Jazeera, citing its sources, also reported that Israel is demanding the release of 5 of its living prisoners and the bodies of 10 prisoners in exchange for the release of Palestinian prisoners and increased humanitarian aid to Gaza.
According to these sources, the Zionist regime, in return, will extend the ceasefire for another week, and this week, according to the Zionists' claims, will serve as a prelude to the second phase.
Israel has asked mediators to deliver Hamas's response before midnight on Friday, but Hamas has rejected this Israeli extortion and stated that it adheres to implementing the ceasefire based on the agreed terms.
According to the agreement reached with Egyptian, American, and Qatari mediators, the first phase of the ceasefire will last 6 weeks, and during this phase, negotiations on the second phase will also begin.
After the completion of the 6 weeks and the release of prisoners in the 7th week, Israel obstructed the process of releasing prisoners in the 7th round and has since sought to release its prisoners without moving to the second phase of negotiations. Hamas has stated that without progress in the second phase of negotiations, there will be no release or exchange of prisoners.
The Zionist regime's Foreign Minister also made claims regarding Syria, stating that it is important for the "regime ruling Damascus" to respect the rights of minorities, including the Druze.
The Zionist regime, as part of its dangerous plan to partition Syria, continues to use the defense of minorities such as the Druze as a cover to advance this dangerous scheme.
Following tensions between Druze groups and elements affiliated with the Jolani government in Jaramana, on the outskirts of Damascus, the Zionist regime has ostensibly expressed sympathy for the Druze and threatened to attack Jolani's elements.
